A polimeriza\u00e7\u00e3o ativada pela luz pode ser afetada por diversos fatores, como composi\u00e7\u00e3o, espessura e cor da cer\u00e2mica.<\/p><p><strong>Objetivos: <\/strong>Avaliar o efeito da espessura da cer\u00e2mica de dissilicato de l\u00edtio na transmiss\u00e3o de luz pela cer\u00e2mica e o grau de convers\u00e3o, a Dureza Knoop e o modulo de elasticidade de 4 materiais de cimenta\u00e7\u00e3o resinosos com diferentes fotoiniciadores.<\/p><p><strong>Material e m\u00e9todos: <\/strong>Tr\u00eas cimentos resinosos: RelyX Veneer, Allcem Veneer APS , Variolink Esthetic LC e uma resina flow TF, Tetric N-Flow\u00a0 foram todos fotopolimerizados por 20s. A irradi\u00e2ncia (mW\/cm2) e o espectro de emiss\u00e3o (mW\/cm2\/nm) de uma unidade de luz LED de amplo espectro\u00a0 foram medidos diretamente sobre o material de cimenta\u00e7\u00e3o (controle) e atrav\u00e9s de 0,3, discos de dissilicato de l\u00edtio de 0,7 e 1,0 mm de espessura. O efeito da espessura da cer\u00e2mica no DC, KH e E foi comparado.<\/p><p><strong>Resultados: <\/strong>O fotopolimerizador liberou 26,1 J\/cm2 na superf\u00edcie e 6,2 J\/cm2 na cer\u00e2mica de 1,0 mm de espessura. O perfil do feixe de irradi\u00e2ncia mostrou que a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o de luz do LED era relativamente homog\u00eanea. A irradi\u00e2ncia e a pot\u00eancia radiante espectral diminu\u00edram significativamente com o aumento da espessura da cer\u00e2mica e houve significativa diferen\u00e7a na dureza.<\/p><p><strong>Conclus\u00e3o: <\/strong>O aumento da espessura da cer\u00e2mica reduziu muito e exponencialmente a irradi\u00e2ncia.
